Oil Crisis in Libya!

Well, news broke out a couple of days ago that there are revolts occurring in Libya. Because of this, oil prices around the world are climbing, since Libya is the 12th biggest supplier of oil. People are complaining to gas stations everywhere, and panic has gripped the hearts of many.

What I don't understand, however, is why?

There hasn't actually been a cut in the supply of oil; we are still getting our gas as usual, but because of this panic the prices are booming. If there hasn't been a stop in oil supply, then why raise prices?

Here's how to put it;

OIL + PANIC = $$$

This concept of business really eludes me; though I may not drive a car yet, it seems pretty simple that prices shouldn't go up because of what we think will happen; but only when something actually happens.

  1. wow, dumb thing to worry about. You know who else was giving us lip with oil? That's right, ole Saddam and his cracky iraqi. Seems to me all this 'president' obamer has to do is grow some balls and send our troops to show these terrorists who's boss! Then we can stop these riots, and oil will be affordable once again.
